FOSS for All
An initiative to build sustainable FOSS ecosystem in Korea and beyond
FOSS for All is an initiative started by number of FOSS communities and projects in Korea to build sustainable FOSS ecosystems. With the begining of registering Unincorporated Association and organizing our first conference, we plan to carry out various activities such as establishing a non-profit corporation, designated as a public interest corporation (donation tax deductible organization), and building a network between projects, communities, companies, and users in the mid to long term.
Through this, we hope to contribute to building a sustainable FOSS ecosystem by supporting various FOSS projects and communities in Korea and around the world to focus more on what they deem important while being transparent, without having to establish a legal entity, do a lot of paperwork, or go through the trial and error of finding out various best practicies for operation.

Fiscal sponsorship
We aim to provide fiscal sponsorships for FOSS communities and projects. So that they can manaage their shared funds with less efforts and more transparently but without establishing a legal entity to raise shared funds with donations from individuals and enterprises then spend. This is our one of mid to long term goals that is planned after establishing our nonprofit legal entity.

FOSS for All conference
We aim to hold an annual conference where various free and open source communities from Korea and abroad can gather and interact, promote lesser-known projects, and discuss common and new concerns of community participants.
Through this, we hope to encourage conference attendees to participate and contribute more actively and sustainably to free and open source projects.

Building network for FOSS ecosystem participants
FOSS for All aims to act as a catalyst by building a network between various free and open source projects and various participants in the free and open source ecosystem (maintainers, contributors, enthusiasts, users, companies, related organizations and institutions, etc.).
We will provide the necessary support to enable the sharing of various cases and experiences among ecosystem participants, as well as to create synergy through collaboration when necessary.
